Manu and Mia - Story 1

Manisha Mathews

Manu and Mia is the story of two siblings living in a small town where children still cycle to school, climbing trees and playing cricket is a daily physical activity, not a virtual one and where summer holidays are not spent in summer schools but in the nature’s lap. Childhood is an exciting phase of life. From thinking of the small constricted space in the womb as home, we grow up to think of our house and immediate neighbourhood as the entire world. Manu and Mia are very different from each other as is the case with most siblings. Manu is the carefree, adventurous, happy sorts and Mia is the silent, obedient, serious type. The story brings to fore two different personalities and why each has to be celebrated & nurtured.
